WE RELISH THE OPPORTUNITY TO FOSTER CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH INSTITUTIONS, BUSINESSES AND THE MEDIA TO ENHANCE CAMPAIGNS.
In partnership with King’s College Cambridge, we curated 3 fundraising weekends in Italy in Rome in taking 30 supporters and friends of Guy Johnston from Tecchler’s workshop -now a garage-, Pamphilj Palace with Prince Jonathan Pamphilj and a recording session with the Orchestra dell' Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia for Guy Johnston's album - Tecchler 300 from Cambridge to Rome. We followed this up with a 3rd visit to Venice partnering with the 5-star Hotel Danieli for the recording of the Howells Cello Concerto.
A partnership with 5-star Kempinski Hotel San Clemente, promoting the Monteverdi Choir’s Monteverdi trilogy by inviting travel journalists to follow in the composer’s footsteps.
An event at the National Portrait Gallery exploring the image of Elizabeth I with soprano Carmen Giannattasio, promoting her
appearance at the Royal Opera House in a production of Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda in which she took the role of Queen Elizabeth. This also generated coverage for Euronews Television
Working with luxury brand BVLGARI to open their refurbished Bond Street store with an opera showcase featuring Carmen Giannattasio. For Bulgari’s guests, we devised a special go-away DVD of Giannattasio singing Bellini’s Casta Diva recorded specially in Rome with the Orchestra dell’ Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
In partnership with the travel editor of Vanity Fair for International Women’s Day, we devised a special celebratory lunch at The Connaught for women pioneers before conductor Laurence Equilbey and Insula orchestra’s Barbican concert of Louise Farrenc’s Third Symphony. It was a celebration of two ‘cheffes’ Helene Darroze (cheffe de cuisine) and Laurence Equilbey (cheffe d’orchestre).
To promote Christophe Rousset’s discography of forgotten composers contemporary with Mozart, we partnered with Law Department of UCL for solicitors and barristers specialising for a talk on intellectual property – Mozart and Plagiarism: a case for copyright infringement – promoting performances of Mozart’s Mitridate with Christophe Rousset at the ROH.
When (London) Music Masters launched its charity to promote cultural diversity in the
industry, they were ahead of the curve. As there was resistance to recognising these issues
in the industry prior to later movements and the formation of Chineke! Orchestra, we
suggested a talk on Class, Race and Classical Music with violinist Tai Murray, author and
political activist Candace Allen and former MD of LMM Robert Adediran.
Because I strongly believe that classical music can fire up children’s minds with colours, humour and drama, we have created two children’s concerts partnering with actress Louise Ford and secondly with playwright Nadya Menuhin for storytelling in 4-hand piano extravaganzas of Peer Gynt and Carnival of the Animals in Highgate’s St Michael Church. Our “Carnival” attracted 270 children, parents and 10 four-legged friends including a “lion”.
To support Tales and Tunes, we curated an evening with writer Christina Patterson and
violinist Fenella Humphreys to explore the topic of renewal and how loss can be a catalyst
for change and for humanity’s greatest creativity with a programme of solo violin music including Bach’s Chaconne and poetry chosen by Patterson. The concert promoted Fenella Humphreys’ latest recording which was featured on Scala Radio, Gramophone and the
Strad.
